For our Lenten charity we will be supporting Embrace the Middle East, and in particular their partner of more than 10 years, Caritas Jerusalem, the social arm of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land. Embrace will be supporting Caritas with a 12-month emergency aid package to help them adapt to the current situation in Gaza, where Caritas staff and dependents are among the dead and injured. The aim is to bring practical assistance to around 16,000 people. All contributions from St Michael's wil go to the frontline to assist in improving health provision and meeting other essential needs.

Donations to Embrace the Middle East can be made under the GiftAid scheme.
